I have nothing to do with CHC, Islamabad, however, my case has
similarities to that of yours, that's why I am putting my expereience
here. My file was transferred from CHC, New Delhi to Buffalo in Feb 2002
(Applied in April 2001) as I came to Canada on study permit.
It's almost two years, but nothing has been heard from Buffalo office
(pl note that my file was refused in the month of June by mistake, as
they assessed the case under IRPA with 75 points in place of transition
rules with 70 points and I was awarded 74 points). Since rule clearly
says that transferred cases (who have applied before Jan 1, 2002) should
be assessed as per the new law but with a pass mark of 70 then.
In view of the above, I have requestd for reconsideration of my case on
valid and genuine grounds, but till date there is no response from
Buffalo. Recently, I came to know that there are many applicants (pre
Jan 1, 2002) , whose cases were just put on hold by CIC for wanting of
clear instructions as to how to assess them in light of proposed changes
to the transition rules that were posted in website in the last month.
I don't know (even God might not know), what the hell these people are
doing there. They should feel ashamed to play with the thousands of
applicants, without any word or response for the years together
