Hi,
I have applied for Canadian PR under skilled migrant category. I
applied from USA at Buffalo office. I am a Sri Lankan national. My
timeline is as follows:
Applied - Dec 10 2001
Received Acknowledgement - Feb 2002
Received letter saying Interview waived, asked for additional docs and
advised to do medicals after 6 months - Feb 2003
I submitted the additional docs in April before the 90 day deadline
and paid the ROLF and did my medicals in June 2003.
I came to UK to work in a project in 2002 and still working on the
project but still am an employee of a US company.
When asked for additional docs, since I have lived in UK for more than
6 months at that time, I submitted UK police report as well.
After submitting the additional docs(letters from employer, new FBI
report, paystubs, W2 etc) the staus in e-client changed to "Decision
Made" and it also said "The office will contact u concerning this
decision".
After submitting the medicals, in August the e-client status again
changed to "In progress" and it also says the "The medicals results
have been received".
I checked with DMP and he said the medical tests are fine.
In addition to Sri Lanka(where I lived for most of my life) I also
lived and worked in Singapore for about six months(mentioned that in
application as well but never been asked for Singapore police report)
and lived in USA for an year and have been living in UK since Feb
2002.
How long do u think it will take for my background check to be
completed considering all these countries?
When an applicant has lived in a few countries, how does the
background check work? Do they do the background checking in parallel
in all the countries or one after the another?
When can I expect the letter requesting for visa stamping?
Thanks in advance.
