Guys,

I understand you so well. I think everybody would have bad feelings
about visa officers playing with people's lives. I realize that many
people apply to get a visa, but I simply cannot believe the time it
takes to process one application.

We don't have a consulate in my home country and the residents of my
country apply to Turkey. When I was getting my student visa I had to
travel to Turkey to attent 2 minute interview. I mean it! my interview
took exactly 2 minutes.

I know that many visitors in Canada have problems getting US visa. So,
when they request an interview in Buffalo the only thing you can do
(in most cases) is to transfer your files to somewhere you can travel,
i.e. almost start over. I tried to get US visa in Toronto but I could
not. Now I have to wait to get an interview notification and ask LA
office to transfer the files to Istanbul and it will probably take
more than 2 years to transfer and one more year to finalize
everything. It frustrates me so much. You should not spend 5 years of
your life waiting, sending new documents and planning everything in
your life considering the immigration application. This is too much.

And you know what frustrates me even more? How do they decide which
applicant needs an interview? They said I needed an interview because
they had doubts regarding my education. I had undergraduate and
graduate degrees from the best university in my country and I was MBA
student at York university - one of the best universities in Canada (I
am graduating in 4 weeks). Why did they have doubts, what was
suspisious about my education? I know a person, a former resident of
my country, who has never attended any class in any university, sent a
fake diploma (you can get one for very little money in ex-USSR
countries) and got a visa within 10 months without any interview. O
yes, his education was not suspisious, mine was. I mean, how do
officers make decisions? Does their mood have anything to do with it?
WHY ARE THEY PLAYING WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES?
