Subject: Re: What is the best way to send money monthly from a Canadian Bank to a US Bank? Posted on: Sat, 22 Nov 2003 15:49:46 EST

You have to hold an account with TD Canada Trust in Canada - savings
accounts have no monthly fees and chequing accounts start at $3.95 per
month, but are waived if balance requirements are met. The cost of the TD
Waterhouse Bank account is $3.95US for the Value Account and $6.95US for the
Premier Account.

Movement of funds between the US and Canada is a debit transaction on the
applicable account, charged at the appropriate rate (depends on what type of
TDCT account you have, between $0.50 - $1.25, may be included in the package
of transactions you have on the account), and on the US side, the Value plan
gets 15 free debits with additional debits costing $0.50 each. Premier
account has unlimited transactions.

To move the funds you just call a 1-800 number from either side of the
border and give the instructions.
