Subject: Foreign Worker to PR status possible? Posted on: Sun, 23 Nov 2003 12:05:59 +0000 (UTC)

Hi

I work for a UK company that wants to open an office in Canada. The plan
would be that I would move to Canada and run the office there.

If I was to enter the country as a foreign worker (running the Canadaian
office for my employer) could I at a later stage (say one or two years)
apply for PR status. How easy is this and is it possible?

I would like to move to Canada and have looked at the various ways of doing
this and getting PR status. If we open an office in Vancouver this would be
great for me so long as I can 'convert' from foreign worker to PR status.

Anyone got any information or comments?

Thanks

Si
