Canadian Visa on US Passport - Dual Nationality ???

This may be a foolish question but...

My son (2 years old) has US passport and we (my wife and me) have
Pakistani Passport. Is it better for us to get Pakistani passport for
my son and get the immigration visa stamped on that or US passport
will work for him as well?

Is there any disadvantage if we get it stamped on US passport like
hmmm... dual nationality problem of US & Canada?
