an acedemic year generally means 2 semsters in case of a semester
system or
3 quarters in case of a quarter system university.
1 semster is generally 4 months . quarter is about 3months.
they say acedemic year because in college one generally has about 3~4
months
of vacation in a year(summer + christmas + spring break etc) and cic
doesnt expect you to be studying during that period (although one can
do cources during summer, but most people dont)
so acedemic year is about 8 ~ 9 months. |
