Hello everyone.
I and the wife are landing in May this year under the skilled category
from the US.
We are expecting a new baby later this year (baby will be born after
landing).
For several practical and financial reasons, we are planning to have
the baby in the US.
We plan to move permanently to Canada in early 2005, when the baby is
about 6 months old.
I would like to know what is the possibility of the baby being allowed
to live with us while we are sponsoring him/her.
Since the baby will be a USC, he/she can enter Canada without a visa,
but can he/she live in Canada with us while the sponsorship process
goes on?
Also, what is an average timeline for such a sponsorship from the US?
If the baby will not be allowed to live with us, then what are the
options available to us?
I realise that having the baby in Canada will make things a lot
easier, however, things are not quite working out in a way that we can
move permanently before the birth.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. |
