It's called the Totalization agreement. The time you spend in each
country counts as zero contribution years, as opposed to
"non-contributory" years, so, if you don't have enough "contributory
years" in one country, the time in the other will count anyway.

You'll get the pension from each country that your contributions would
normally get you.
