Subject: Background Info/Interview Posted on: Thu, 29 Apr 2004 03:52:59 +0000 (UTC)

I have applied as skilled worker in November 2002 and have been called
for an interview that has yet to be scheduled. In the mean time I
ordered my caips file which I just received, in the caips file the
bring forward date was April 22, 2004. It also says file sent to
Detroit on April 22, 2004.
But today I received a letter from Buffalo asking me to fill in the
Background Information from November 2002 to present they gave me a 90
days window and say that the processing of the file will be stopped
till they receive this information.
1.They asked me to fax the required information to Buffalo, so will my
file be delayed in getting to Detroit?
2.Is this normal procedure, to ask for this information before the
interview?
3.Does this mean they are starting the background check?
Any information and similar case situations are highly appreciated....
Thanks
Sonal
