The situation is unfortunate, but you can't blame Canada or any other
country's immigration policies for assumptions you made that didn't pan out.
Any immigration of any person is not guaranteed, and even if Canada's
parental intake was completed in 3-6 months, there may have been other
circumstances that prevented their successful migration.

Almost everyone wishes they could be with their parents, but immigrating
to Canada because you think that maybe you could sponsor your parents is not
a logical reason for immigration. You may have had more success applying
from within the USA, considering you are already there on a visa.

I hope that things work out for you, but as I've said, blaming Canada or
CIC for your situation doesn't make sense.
