Hi
Thanks to this forum, we have now successfully applied and received the
canadian landing papers. Now we are planning to drive down to Vancouver
from Seattle for a week end. I have a couple of questions regarding the
landing process and I would really appreciate if some one can elaborate
on it.
1. I understand, after reading from this forum, that all we need to do
is show our landing document and visa at the port of entry for formally
immigrating to Canada. Is it so ? Am I need to declare my assets as well ?
2. Is there any office hours that we need to adhere to complete this
formality. If not, then we would prefer to drive down there on thursday
night and stay there for a week end and drive back. Has some body done
some thing like this before .
3. Should I also have to go to any government office to apply for
Canadian PR card.
4. We would like to get the SIN card as well in the same trip. Can this
be done in a single day ?Ah, can I give my brother's address who lives
in Toronto for future correspondence purposes(like for PR Card,SIN Card).
5.Also,I would like to know if we are missing out some other formalities
apart from PR Card and SIN Card.
