Don't get me wrong, I agree with the point you're making, but just for
the sake of argument, the OP did not suggest otherwise. He suggested
challenging the decision of the immigration officer and taking it to a
Canadian court, not an international (or foreign) court, so in theory,
the decision would still have been with Canada. But what matters is
what Canadian laws say about the issue, and I agree that the replies of
PMM and Andrew make it clear, that's just how it is.
