The institute awarded me a "Post-Graduate Diploma in Software
Technology" for completing the 1 year program. So, yes, it is not a
Masters degree per se.

But one is required to have a Bachelors degree to pursue this diploma
program. Therefore it is a second qualification (I don't know if it can
be called a "degree" since I was awarded a diploma) at the Bachelor's
level. Do the Canadian immigration authorities treat a second
qualification at the Bachelors level differently based on whether it is
a diploma or a degree? If a person holds a second qualification at the
Bachelors level, be it diploma or degree, does it qualify as a "full
fledged second degree on Bachelor's level" ?
