Should I report the settlement fund to CBSA? Posted on: Sat, 15 Oct 2005 03:35:32 +0000 (UTC)

Hi,
I will land in Canada soon. By the information from the website, I have
to report currency or monetary instruments to CBSA if I have over
CAD10,000.00.
However, WE are going to land and I think that means we can import up
to CAD20,000.00 without the report with the form E677(05) to CBSA at
the airport.
But if we have one traveller's check or money order of CAD18,000.00
which is made by the name of one of us, we have to report this because
one has over CAD10.000,00 at the time of crossing the border.
Is this right???
Thanks for your help in advance.
