I see from the Personal Effects Accounting Document that a settler is
obliged to assign value to household goods brought into Canada. Most
of the furniture I own, for example, was inherited, and I have no idea
what it is worth. Does this mean I actually have to get all these
things appraised before I can bring them into Canada as my personal
property?
