Subject: should I land before my study permit expire Posted on: Wed, 14 Nov 2007 02:37:18 +0000 (UTC)

Hi,
I got my "confirmation of permanent residence" today.
My study permit will be expired on November 30, 2007.
So, I wanted to land before my study permit will be expired.
However, I need to go to San Francisco on December 9 for the
conference and will comeback on December 14. I heard that I can't
comeback to Canada without PR card.
So, I decided to land on December 14 on the way back from the
conference.
In this case, I will have to stay in Canada illegally for 9 days since
my study permit will be expired on November 30. Is this going to be a
problem?
Should I have to extend my study permit as soon as possible? If then,
am I able to get my study permit before I December 9? I am really
confused what I have to do now..
