You are incorrect. Your PR Card is valid until 2009/06/18, it
has no effect / influence whatsoever to your PR status: you
definitely can lost your status while your PR Card still valid.

In this particular point you are correct for for the wrong
reason. The 5 years period is rolling: it is NOT sequentially
ordered so the second 5 years follow the first 5 years, instead
it move to follow your time outside Canada. In this case, yes if
you back on the June 2008 you save your PR, but if then on July
2009 you left Canada for a month, you will lose your PR then.

You will lose your PR and you will need to reapply for PR from
scratch again, unless you are outside Canada accompanying a
Canadian citizen spouse or because you are assigned by your
Canada employer.

AFAIK they will let you in to revoke your PR, then they will
tell you to leave Canada.
