There is basically no other solution than give up your PR if you
cannot fulfill your PR residency obligation. There are some H&C
exception but basically only for dire situations (e.g. death of
family member, serious sickness that keep you from travelling,
etc.). Economic / financial / career consideration definitely
not one of those exception.
Note that being out of Canada accompanying a Canada citizen
spouse or employed by Canada employer is not exception PR to
residency rule but specifically allowed in the rule.

AFAIK from immigration point of view it is better that you give
your PR up before it expires.

There is no such basis. Having a Canada citizen child by itself
won't help you to move to Canada (it is possible it hinder you
entering Canada). However, your child can always enter Canada by
him/herself, then when he/she grow up and WORK in Canada with
enough income, he/she can (if he/she choose to do so) sponsor
you to become Canada PR.
