Because there are no trains leaving this town (you'd have drive 45 mins to
the nearest train station) and busses leave only once a week. I don't drive
so I have to rely on friends who do.

Secondly, the weather has been awful with roads closed most of the previous
day also (both times), hence I said travelling several days in advance would
be required. Roads were closed from about 2PM sunday until almost lunch
time today - explain to me how even a bus would get out then ?
