In Canada common-law partner immigration Posted on: Sun, 17 Feb 2008 19:46:27 +0000 (UTC)

Hi All

My application of common-law partner immigration was delivered on Sept
last year, and I haven't yet received any letters from the department,
except that I could check my status online.

I would like to know if anyone know the time frame and milestones
during the process, so that I could have a reference timetable.

I know that there is a "first stage approval", but not all applicants
will have it. So do we (the applicant) know whether we have got the
first stage approval or not? Like will they send us letter whatever
the result?

And, does anyone know if there is any difference concerning the
probability to success, between the application of spouse and the
application of common-law?

Thanks in advance.

Freyl
