Why not an option? Don't think about the cost of temporary stay,
but think about the cost of whole immigration process if you
have redo it again.
And if you are looking, you may be able to get cheaper option of
temporary stay.

Then I'm pretty sure someone has a big 4WD truck which are
designed for bad condition, and willing to do so given
