Question:1 --> Can I visit Canada in Temporary Resident Visa and
apply for spousal sponsorship
from Canada?
** You can try. It will not be easy to get a Temporary Residence Visa
when you have a spouse in Canada. They will suspect that you want to
stay in Canada ( you do) and that prevents them from issuing a
Temporary visa.
If you do arrive, she can sponsor you from within Canada.
Question:2 --> Will visiting Canada in Temporary Resident Visa
adversely affect my spousal
sponsorship ?
** Not really, although the processing time via Delhi is about 1/3 as
long as it takes from within Canada.
Question:3 --> While applying for Temporary Resident visa, should I
declare that my purpose of
visit is to be with my spouse?
** Any information provided on the TRV application will be stored and
referenced during a sponsorship. If you mislead them or lie, you could
find yourself with major issues on a sponsorship. Contradictory
information creates all kinds of problems.
Has your wife looked into the sponsorship? Delhi has very fast
processing for spouses - probably the fastest type of PR case than can
be filed.
