Hello Nick,

To enter the USA, the UK passport is the only relevant document. The
US does not recognize our PR Card as a travel document for entering
the country. UK passport holders are on the Visa Waiver Program, which
means you pay $6 at the border and visit. They may ask to see a PR
Card to ensure that you weren't in Canada illegally, but it really
doesn't factor in. American border agents can refuse entry to anyone
they feel is not being honest, might work illegally, or has a criminal
record.

Canada accepts a US Green Card to enter Canada, regardless of the
passport the person carries, unfortunately this is not reciprocal!

The PR Card is to ensure your return to Canada.
