Subject: permanent residency Posted on: Thu, 1 May 2008 05:54:25 +0000 (UTC)

I'm a 25 year old Australian and have recently returned from a 2 year
working holiday in Canada. I have had a terrible time trying to gain
information as to whether i am elegible for Canadian Permanent
Residency. i have written multiple emails to the consulates in sydney
and made phone calls all over. but i either get no reply from emails
or told that the information i need cant be told over the phone...
What????
My Girlfriend is a Canadian Citizen, we have been together for 2 years
and i have a Labouring job offer from her father and a place to live
in Ontario. My plan is to join the Toronto Police Service. I did not
finnish high school but am completing my equivilent. A Certificate IV
for Tertiary Preperation, i have also completed Cert II in beef cattle
production in 2000 and worked in the cattle industry from then untill
i went to Canada in 2005.
Also my Mother and Step father are currently Living and working in
Alberta, they are not Permanent residents but i think they may apply.
Thats pretty much me in a nutshell. I know i am throwing alot out
there right now. but like i said, i have had a rotton time trying to
get any info. I think the CIC website is very informative as to what
is available, but knowing what category i fall into is another kettle
of fish
What is the best way for me to apply. and judging by the info i have
given, what are my chances?
Any info would be awesome.
i look forward to a reply.
thanx
p.s. would telling the right people involved that i am crazy about
hockey help me at all.. coz i am you know.. GO LEAFS GO!!!! SUNDIN IS
GOD
