AFAIK any adoption certificates / paperworks should be
considered part of birth certificate. Furthermore, in some cases
of adoption, a new birth certificate is released (apparently not
in her case). Anyway, adoption certificates / paperworks should
suffice to prove the validity of the adopting parent.

Since for birth certificate an photocopy is enough, then a
photocopy of those adoption certificates / paperworks should be
good as well. As general note for any documents: never expect
anything you send to visa office will be returned to you (except
for passport, when requested). Never send original unless
explicitly requested.

Another important thing: not sure whether her name changes also.
The name she should put in the forms is the name in her
passport.

More notes:
- If you are required to apply under simplified application,
then no documentations should be included until requested.
- Since Feb 2008, no new skilled worker application will be
processed until undetermined date.
