When does the visa
expire? It's written on the sticker in his passport, not the white I-94
card.

When does his program end? It's listed on the DS-2019 form he
has.

If his visa and program are not expired, the passport is valid,
and he has a multiple entry visa, then he should be properly documented
to apply for admission after a vacation abroad.
