He should
look about campus. There are - as mentioned Sylvia - special programs
available for students to do exactly this. Swap was big when I was at
university, but there are others. He will almost certainly be able to
find something on campus about it.

A lot of my buddies used it and did
all sorts of things ranging from being camp counsellors for the summer
to ski instructors to law internships.
