And where did
he say that? The OP will have to pay for healthcare for his parents if
he is successful in getting them here. Many US citizens pay for their
own healthcare or go without and are not eligible for medicare/medicaid.
No one is telling him or anyone else to abandon their parents. In some
cases, it is far better for the parents to remain in their own country
rather than to migrate. Not every immigrant comes from an improvished
country.
