Subject: Re: looking to work - married to a GC holder Posted on: Sun, 27 Jun 2004 15:51:48 +0000

I am soo happy that other people also see.. this law doesn't make any
sense. I am a GC holder, my parents are citizens, my grandfather was a
citizen(passed away), all my uncle and aunts are citizens. I married a
student, after he finished, he had to leave because their was no law
that allowed him to stay being married to me a GC holder. We have now
been seperated for 2 yrs and hoping and praying, this will end soon.
This has been the hardest time in my life for me as I am being punished
for something that I can't control. I just hope and pray that they pass
some of these laws that are being proposed and allow spouses and
children of GC holders to not be sperated for 5 to 6 yrs. I have heard
some of the people say " well if it is that important then why don't you
move their?" I can't move where my husband is in that part of the world
where he is barely making it by. If I could, I so would. But if your
spouse is from a 3rd world country, it is really hard not to go through
this pain and just wait and hope that one day you like other
couples"F1's and H1's" which I m not saying that they should suffer but
makes me mad sometimes..
"amen, with the will of god"
