| If you filed for I-485 or filing together, you can
| write 'I-485 pending'. When I applied I did the same and I got it.

Class of Admission is the status of NIV you were admitted into the US under.
ie. B1/B2, H1B, H2A, TN, O1, F1, M1, J1 and etc..

"I-485 pending" is not a class of admission. In other words you have to ask
yourself in what status were you admitted as a non-immigrant into the US. If
you were an EWI, was not inspected and admitted into the US then you don't
have a legal class of admission- you can't apply for advance parole.
You have to have a NI status first to apply I-485!
