Try contacting MBNA USA's head office and explaining that you have
good credit with MBNA Canada and would like them to consider offering
you a US credit card with that in mind, getting the name of who to
send your details to who can deal with that. I did likewise when
moving to the US from overseas with another international bank and it
worked. Before that I couldn't even get store cards!
