Neither do spouses of USC, neither do H1b's that are sponsored etc

The original immigrants didn't need anything.

Please tell me which immigrants don't.

Get real, this is probably the biggest problem with the DV lottery, people
unable to support themselves are assisted by church and charity groups for a
period of time then left to their own devices.
I've seen the results of this 1st hand.
1. Some struggle
2. some go home.
3. Some become, shall we say, less community spirited.

Nobody has to marry anyone in a free country.

As you have probably figure out I disagree.

Then I shall spell it out for you, the original immigrants took their
chances, they didn't even know if they would survive the trip to a land that
would give them NOTHING. Not even minimum wage at McDonalds.
For all they knew, death would be their reward.for even daring the journey.
They went to MAKE America, not profit from it. The people on the DV lottery
are not refugees, that's totally different.
These people don't take any risk, hence the insult to the original settlers.
Are we clear now?
