Why is Nebraska Center taking so long to process employment based
I-485s ? In the last 4 months,
they have only advanced from Jan 15 to Feb 01 of 2002.
If my I-485 filing date is May'03, what is a likely date ( in your
opinion)
when I might expect my I-485 to be processed? Would appreciate a
realistic guestimate.

Is it worth considering Counsellor processing ? or better to wait out
?

Can anything be done to speed the process up at all (writing to
congressman etc?)

Has Nebraska center ever compensated for this lag by going
month-for-month or even faster at times ?

Also, if a person has a permanent resident card and then marries, does
their spouse become eligible for work ?
