I agree with the above post.
I too am English and have spent many thousands of dollars and much
effort on the following process; getting a visa (F1) and going to grad
school here in the U.S.A, getting opt practical training (EAD) and a job
for a year, then having my company petition for HIB visa and finally
applying for my green card through employment (waiting for years!).
Why don’t you do things legally? getting an illegal SS won't help you
much at all.
