Advice needed on I-130 petition Posted on: Sun, 14 Nov 2004 19:39:58 +0000 (UTC)

I am just about to sent off my petition of to Nebraska and would like
some help with what happens next?
I have looked on the U S Citizenship & immigration site for Nebraska
and it says they are now dealing with applications sent in in April 13
2001,does this mean that people that applied then get a interview and
are close to getting a Green card or is this just the start of the
process and if this is the case what sort of time could I expect.
Also can anybody help me with what happens when I send my application
in, do I get a letter straight back with a receipt notice date or does
this also take months?
Many thanks for you help.
