Hi, You (the new company) must apply for a new H1B (you can have 2 ). It
must show the usual, that your skills are needed and that an American is
not displaced. Having been involved with numerous co workers who
obtained an H1B, they are not hard to get if you have a degree and have
the application processed by someone who really knows the current labor
market in the area and who describes the job you are looking for in such
a way that you basically are the only person in the area who can apply.
Of course the salary offered must not be lower than the prevailing wage.
You do not even need to tell the current company that you are applying.
If you resigned your job and do not get another H1B, the company who
brought you out in the first place has to send you back.
The real trick is to get here on aan H1B and immediately get your green
card going.
Regards
