I've been waiting more than 14 months to hear from the USCIS about my
application. What can I do?

A. If you have been waiting longer than 14 months for a citizenship
interview, or if the CIS interviewed you but you have waited more
than two months to be called for your swearing-in ceremony, here are
some things you can do to find out about your application:

1. File a G-14 with the office handling the application. You may obtain
form G-14 and other USCIS forms by calling (800) 870-3676.

2. Contact your congressional representative or U.S. senator for
assistance. You can get the contact information by calling your
local library.

3. Call 311. You'll be referred to New York City's Office of Immigrant
Affairs, which can contact CIS for you.
