when I first discovered that I couldnt stay in the US even though I was
married to a LPR I sought the advice of many lawyers who all had
something different to say and advise! I was so confused and had no
idea of what to do .that is why I feel reluctant to believe just one
opinion from his corporate lawyer whom he will meet the day after
tomorrow to discuss.

Initially two years ago I had entered on a visa waiver and thought we
could find out info while I was there as to how I could apply for an H1B
or student visa. My husband had been transferred by his company anyway
so we had no choice but to go, and I was very sick at the time which is
why I went with him initally hoping to find a way that I could somehow
stay.Of course there was no solution and nobody could give me good
advice.
The immigration officials at the immigration dept in Boston also told me
something else again when I went two years ago, and asked me the
stupidest questions which proved they didnt know at all what they were
talking about. That is why I dont trust them this time too! Thanks for
the advice on this.
Just feel so scared to decide my next few years on what is maybe bad
advice,
If he gets set back, then at the end of his two year contract in
Germany we will be back to square one and i still wont be able to live
with him and i will have given up my job here in asia and where will i
go!
he doesnt want to give up his green card if possible as all his family
live in the US and then he may not be able to visit them in the future
without applying for a visa and possibly being rejected as his passport
is South American.
By the way I really appreciate you all taking the time to post the above
replies, thank you!
