Thanks for your reply n400la,

I applied at Los angeles office, however my interview was scheduled
at El Monte.

What they told me exactly is that they have not received the file yet.
I wonder who is supposed to send them the file in the first place. I
asked them how long it will take for them to receive it and they told
me up to 3 months.

I really hoped that I would close the INS chapter in my life - however
obviously they had other plans.
