You could have been ordered to appear before a judge for removal
proceedings if you didn't do the I-407, but I don't see what you would
have told the judge. It's not a visitor card. You didn't live in the
US and didn't have a right to the card or the status. Are you even
planning to move back to the US right now?

When was the last time you lived in the US?
