I went to the embassy earlier and the IRS dept was totally empty. I
explained my situation and he looked confused and basically said that I
didnt need to file anything because I didnt have any source of income.
I explained to him that according to many university websites in the
international student sections it states even if you dont have an income
you still have to file it with the IRS and claim exemption.
He still said that I didnt have to file but if I wanted to he would take
them off me, stamp them as received by the London IRS and send them on.
At least if I dont need them as he said then there is no harm in
filing but if I do need them it proves that I have made the effort to
get up to date
I have a photocopy of each form I filed for 2000 through 2005, with the
IRS stamp so im content for now
theres nothing more I can do really, Ive done all I can
