Subject: US citizen sponsoring green card for spouse Posted on: Fri, 4 Feb 2005 21:35:45 +0000 (UTC)

Hi, I am a US citizen in the process of sponsoring a green card for my
husband.
Anyone who did this recently in the state of CA - please post your
comments.
The I-130 should be filed in the local service center. How early do
they have to go to do this? Can it be mailed? How do we find out if the
local office will accept forms in person?
The I-693 form for medical examination - does it have to be submitted
along with the I -485 form at the sub office where they file the
application?
Can my husband file for Advance parole at the same time as filing the
application?
Will there be any problems during reentry to the US if we travel
outside the US soon after filing the applications?

Anyone who has answers please post.
