| I ran through the document checklist, and it didn't require birth
| certificate.
I haven't yet checked out the document checklist (I'll be filing myself
in a few days, as soon as I get around to filling out the forms), so I
don't know exactly what's on it. But a birth certificate is something
that CIS will ask for with almost any type of application, and I'd be
surprised if they didn't ask for it with an N-400. Besides, there is no
harm in including an extra document that may not be required.
