AP - eligibility and timeline? Posted on: Sun, 27 Feb 2005 23:19:11 +0000

We are about to file our I-485s + I-765s, based on my husband's
approved I-140.

It is my understanding that my and our sons' H4 status will remain valid
(i.e. we can travel) until we 'activate' our EADs, ie start working. Is
this correct?

Upon receipt of our EADs, I plan to start a business and our sons want
to take up part-time employment (they are high-school students). I
assume this means we will require AP ?

We are planning to go home for a month in the summer. Can someone tell
me what sort of 'evidence' we need to submit to be granted AP, and
approximately how long it is likely to take to get it?

TIA.
