Hi Laura,
Again, I can only give details on the info from the company we are using
but I will tell you what I know.
When the container arrives in Melbourne we have arranged for the
shipping company to deliver it to where ever we are living, it saves us
time and hassle, we would have had to hire a van etc. The charge approx
400 aus dollars to deliver it to our door including their fees etc.
They will leave it with us for a few hours so we can unpack it.
They said they have no control over the customs and they do spot checks
etc but if they do check our container and open boxes etc, the charge is
about 150 - 200 aus dollars for this.
We are going to do the packing ourselves for definite, it will take time
but can be done and it will cost us nothing!
Regards
Gillian
