I'm a Canadian citizen and I own an engineering/manufacturing company making
a specialized type of hand tool. The company has been incorporated for the
past 8 years in BC, Canada. Recently I've decided to move my entire
operation to the California since my buyers and suppliers are 90% from the
US and my US customers express that they'd rather my products were made in
the US, and for other practical purposes.
I qualify and have worked in the US in the past under TN visa's, but always
for other US-based companies. What type of visa would I need to be allowed
to live in the US and work for my own company based there. Or re-phrased,
what kind of immigration status would you have when you're not a US citizen
but want to be self-employed in the US?
Thanks in advance for your response.
