That may be true in many cases, but unless there are special
circumstances, USCIS has long accepted unsigned copies of your tax
return, or a tax transcript. A tax transcript is preferred because it is
evidence that you did actually file the forms that you present to USCIS.
Of course you are right in that the original signed versions are even
better, but that would be overkill.
