1. What specific requirements did the school indicate you failed to
satisfy to gain legitimate matriculation?
2. You have to gain admission to a school of your choice and have the
international office issue you a new I-20.
3. No, if you do it in a timely fashion. Virtually all F-1 students
have to take a full-time load of courses to keep their alien status
intact. If there is a gap in any semester, you are considered out of
status, in most cases. Once you are out of status, you cannot re-
instate it in the US and in most cases have to do so in your home
country. (For what semester did you apply to school, Spring 2005?
Did you attend any classes that semester?)
