Nigerian Fiance to America.. help? Time frame? Booking flight? Posted on: Tue, 19 Apr 2005 01:52:11 GMT

Hoping I'm on the right path here. So far:

Filing I-129F petition with all supporting documentation and G-325A's per
spec.s

As of 3-18-05 petitions from 1-10-05 K-1 and K-2 were 'on the desk' for
processing. I assume this could mean mine will be looked at in as little as
two months?

When should she apply for passport?
When should she go to the American Consulate and apply for visa?

I will be requesting hardship exemption for the meeting requirement. Any
experience on what is considered 'extreme hardship'?

If I do not get exemption any idea how long she could stay if they approve a
visa for meeting visit (I want to live with her at least a couple of months
before marriage to make sure she is as wonderful in person as online)

She has not applied for Diversity Visa, window is closed for 2006

We also desperately want to know the expected timeframe for all processes.
I'm familiar with the requirement to marry within 90 days and the other
processes from then on.

If Virgin Nigeria is not up and running by the time we are ready, does
anyone have a clue as to how to book a flight originating in Nigeria? The
six year travel ban has been lifted, but I can't find anyone to quote me
fares.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
